OWNER & DIRECTOR

Wendy has been dancing for as long as she can remember! If there was music playing, she was moving and grooving! Her dance journey began in Phoenix, Arizona, where she joined after-school hip hop programs at just nine years old. When her family moved to Colorado at age twelve, new opportunities for dance opened up. Wendy quickly became involved in musical theatre, performing in productions such as Willy Wonka, Into the Woods, The Wedding Singer, and more. In high school, Wendy attended an Arts Magnet program where she was able to dive deeper into lyrical and jazz styles. She also spent four incredible years performing and competing across Colorado with Northern Eclipse Winter Guard. One of her lifelong dreams came true her senior year when she traveled to New York City, stood on the stage at Radio City Music Hall, and took a master class from the world-famous Rockettes, a true pinch-me moment!

Throughout college, Wendy continued to grow as a dancer at a Christian dance studio in Northern Colorado, where she studied ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and Afro-jazz, and even served on the outreach team. She went on to teach there for ten years, sharing her passion through classes in lyrical/worship, ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and competitive teams. Wendy also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and has always had a heart for teaching the next generation. But before graduation, God began stirring something new in her heart calling her to pursue dance wholeheartedly. Soon after, she stepped into the role of Assistant Director at her studio for two years. During a dance convention, the Lord clearly spoke to her that she would one day open her own studio and even gave her the name: Made to Shine Dance Company.

In May of 2024, that dream became reality. Wendy is in awe of what God has already done through Made to Shine Dance Company and is filled with excitement for what’s ahead. Her greatest mission is to help raise up a generation of dancers who know they were created to move for God’s glory, bold as lions, and radiant in His light.

CHAOS COORDINATOR

Kendra brings a joyful mix of organization, creativity, and heart to Made to Shine Dance Company as our beloved Business Administrator also known as our official Chaos Coordinator! With an Associates Degree in Business, she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes so our studio families, dancers, and teachers always feel supported and cared for.

Kendra’s love for dance began at the age of eight in her first ballet class. She continued to cheer from elementary school all the way through her senior year, while also training in jazz/drill team and Color Guard. At just fourteen years old, she began coaching an elementary cheer team, sparking her deep passion for teaching. Throughout college, she served as an assistant coach for her high school Color Guard, continuing to pour into young performers.

In 2019, Kendra re-sparked her love for dance by joining an outreach dance team at her former studio. Shortly after joining the outreach team she began teaching dance again. She loves helping dancers grow in confidence and express their love for Jesus through movement.

Kendra lives in Evans, Colorado with her husband, Garrett, and their two children, Weston and Madison. When she’s not keeping the studio organized or cheering on dancers, you can usually find her in the kitchen baking and perfecting her signature specialty cupcake flavors! Kendra desires to help dancers not only grow in skill, but also learn how to shine the light of Jesus both on and off the dance floor.

BALLET & JAZZ LEAD TEACHER

Savannah found her love for the arts at a very early age. From the moment she put on her very first pair of ballet shoes at three, she was hooked. She has been dancing and performing ever since, with only a brief hiatus, making this her 19th year performing. Her accolades include, but are not limited to, starring in several musicals, competing and choreographing for competitions, and her personal favorite- teaching. She is extremely grateful to be dancing again and would love to extend a warm thank you to all the parents, fellow teachers, and of course, her dancers, who have welcomed her back with loving arms. Savannah is so grateful for Wendy, creating this space for dancers to grow with the Lord and in dance. Savannah would also like to thank God for giving her this AMAZING opportunity, her parents for their constant love and support throughout her life and dance journey, her siblings for coming to all her shows, and her fiancé, Brandyn, for always supporting her dreams, passions, and life adventures.

BALLET, CONTEMPORARY, & LEAPS AND TURNS LEAD TEACHER

Noelle is a Colorado native, and began dancing at the age of 3. During her time as a student, she trained under multiple seasoned professionals in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, tap and musical theater. She began competing at age 12, attending Regional and National competitions across Colorado and the United States. During her time as a competitive dancer, she had the opportunity to take convention classes from international dance professionals, and succeed as a competitive dancer alongside her peers. She also had opportunities to perform in various ballet roles including the Dew Drop Fairy, Snow, Sugar Plum Fairy and other parts in her studio's performances of the Nutcracker. 

As a dance educator, she began assistant teaching at age 13, and began taking over her own classes at age 16 until she graduated high school. Noelle graduated from her dance studio at 18, and took dance courses in college. Noelle has taught multiple styles based on her upbringing, in various studios across Colorado. She has led competitive teams at various competitions to receive high adjudication for all choreography, as well as National qualifications. She has also received multiple special awards for choreography and costuming. Along with teaching, Noelle dances professionally with Messengerz Dance Company based in Colorado, performing and teaching across the nation.

Outside of dance, she is married to a wonderful man named Michael, and has a daughter and 2 sons. As a family they love to be outside, play games, and explore together! Noelle also enjoys baking, cooking and reading. Noelle loves teaching dance, leading dancers to their highest potential, and growing them to be beautiful, talented and well rounded artists.

HIP HOP LEAD TEACHER

Juan found his love for dance at the age of 6 and moved onto studio training soon after at the Dance Factory in Greeley for several years. After leaving the studio, he would co-found a dance group that would go on to perform for events and shows across Colorado. In high school, Juan would be recruited onto the Greeley West dance team alongside two others, as the first males in the school's history. They drove the team to a state final and then traveled to Florida to claim a nationals final position. After graduating high school, he would enroll into the University of Northern Colorado to join the Dance Alliance and be trained by Andrew Cassell for the school’s fall dance showcase. After college, he would be hired as a backup dancer and also choreograph projects such as a nation wide flash mob. Juan is a father of two beautiful girls who share his love for dance. After enrolling his girls into dance, he joined the team for their 2023 spring recital. He is excited to help lead the next group of dancers to grow in their faith and skills.
